Overview
Welcome to Town Center, the heart of St. Mary’s City. Here you will walk in the footsteps of those who built this colony, following its evolution from colonial fort to bustling trade center and, eventually, to ghost town.

Some potential experiences you might have at the Town Center site include:
- Printing
- Lawn Bowling
- Dying Cloth
- Colonial Medicine

Accessibility
- All of the buildings in the Town Center area are accessible via the paved paths
- The buildings at Town Center are Cordea’s Hope, Smith’s Ordinary, Smith’s outbuilding, & the Print House
- Cordea’s, Smith’s Ordinary, & Smith’s outbuilding are wheelchair accessible, but the paved path does not go directly to each of these buildings
- Wheelchairs will need to traverse either hard packed dirt or grass to reach these buildings as the paved paths do not extend to the doorways of these buildings
- Cordea’s has a wheelchair accessible ramp
- Smith’s outbuilding is at ground level. Wheelchairs must be lifted over a small stoop at Smith’s Ordinary at the main entrance
- The Print House is accessible directly from the paved path and a wheelchair accessible ramp.
