Howie Grube moved to St. Mary’s County in 1996 and went to St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Howie met his wife at St. Mary’s College and they live near Historic St. Mary’s City with their children. Howie’s passion for Historic St. Mary’s City was ignited when his oldest child participated in a year-long homeschooling program at the Godiah Spray Plantation. The Grube family has been hooked on Historic St. Mary’s City ever since.

After graduating college, Howie worked on Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Contracts supporting the Navy for over 13 years. During that time, Howie completed his Masters in Business Administration from Florida Institute of Technology and was a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps.
