Overview

The new Visitor Center at Historic St. Mary’s City was created through years of collaboration, bringing together the perspectives of tribal leaders, historians, educators, and community members to tell a richer and more inclusive story of Maryland’s beginnings.

Beginning November 14, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the new facility during its inaugural season and explore exhibits that connect past and present in meaningful ways. While this is not our formal grand opening, it is the first opportunity to step inside and experience this important new chapter with us.

*Admission on November 14 is free thanks to generous support from the Southern Maryland National Heritage Area
