Historic St. Mary’s City invites the public to its April Archaeology Lecture Series on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Visitor Center Auditorium (18751 Hogaboom Lane, St. Mary’s City, Maryland). This free event will showcase groundbreaking research from the Department of Research and Collections, shedding new light on the region’s rich history.
Attendees will gain exclusive insights into recent archaeological discoveries and interpretations from Historic St. Mary’s City, a National Historic Landmark and one of the most significant colonial sites in the United States.
The evening will feature short papers on the following topics:

The event will conclude with a discussion session led by Travis G. Parno, reflecting on past findings and future directions for archaeological research at Historic St. Mary’s City.
