Look at this document. Do you notice the elaborate decoration around the K and T at the beginning of the paragraphs? These letters were paired with special type like the fleur de lis. The special type was used for decoration. We don't know why William chose to print some letters with special decorations and others without them. Do you think it might be William Nuthead's way to impress the government of Maryland with his printing services? Not all of his documents use this special technique. What do you think?
